LessonS in Conservation

Serving to Save

EDUCate the future

We believe that educating young children in rural communities will lead to a generation that grows up to accept and love conservation and the natural world.

Preservation

“Ultimately conservation is about people. If you don’t have sustainable development around wildlife parks, then people will have no interest in them, and the parks will not survive.” – Nelson Mandela

OUR GOALS

Educate children from underprivileged communities

create a connection between people and wildlife

Raise money to fund FGASA courses for identified outstanding students

WHAT IS LiC?

Lessons in Conservation (LiC) is a registered NPO that was founded in 2018 by a student from the University of Pretoria.

We believe that educating young children in rural communities will lead to a generation that grows up to accept and love conservation and the natural world. We hope that these children will impart this knowledge to their peers and families.

The goal is that all the children who participate in our program will continue to share their new found knowledge on conservation; impacting and altering their communities beliefs and behaviours, and ultimately conservation as a whole.
